  • Author: Liz Willis

Description

A festive holiday twist on a classic moscow mule

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Leftover syrup from making vanilla orange candied cranberries or 1/2 ounce simple syrup (see notes section for recipe)
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 2 ounces 100% cranberry juice, no sugar added
  • Sugared cranberries (or fresh, frozen cranberries instead)
  • Fresh rosemary sprig for garnish (optional)
  • Ginger beer (about 1/2 bottle per drink)

Instructions

  1. In a moscow mule glass or a short glass, mix 1/2 ounce simple syrup, 1 1/2 ounces vodka, 1/2 juiced lime, and 2 ounces 100% cranberry juice.
  2. Top off with ginger beer.
  3. Garnish with sugared cranberries and 1 sprig of fresh rosemary (optional)

Notes

To make a quick simple syrup: in a small saucepan place 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water. Stir and heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat and allow to cool before adding to a cold drink. Save leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
