A festive holiday twist on a classic moscow mule

- Leftover syrup from making vanilla orange candied cranberries or 1/2 ounce simple syrup (see notes section for recipe)
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 2 ounces 100% cranberry juice, no sugar added
- Sugared cranberries (or fresh, frozen cranberries instead)
- Fresh rosemary sprig for garnish (optional)
- Ginger beer (about 1/2 bottle per drink)
Instructions
- In a moscow mule glass or a short glass, mix 1/2 ounce simple syrup, 1 1/2 ounces vodka, 1/2 juiced lime, and 2 ounces 100% cranberry juice.
- Top off with ginger beer.
- Garnish with sugared cranberries and 1 sprig of fresh rosemary (optional)
Notes
To make a quick simple syrup: in a small saucepan place 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water. Stir and heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat and allow to cool before adding to a cold drink. Save leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
