If there was ever a drink that screams celebration, it’s strawberry champagne float! Strawberries, champagne, and vanilla ice cream come together in sweet bubbly bliss to help you toast to whatever it is you think deserves toasting!

How to make a strawberry champagne float

The first step to making this strawberry champagne float is to pick your favorite champagne. Go as cheap or as expensive as suits your taste! You can also use prosecco which may be more widely available!

Fun fact: The main difference between champagne and prosecco is that in order to be called “champagne” it must be produced in the champagne region of France. Prosecco is typically produced in Italy. They taste very similar!

Now that you have your champagne (or prosecco), the next step is to dice your strawberries. You want to make them small enough that you could “drink” them in the drink and not feel like you need a fork to get them out of the glass or that the bite is too big or awkward.

Next, pick your champagne glass and put in a scoop of your favorite (gluten free) vanilla ice cream. Hit up a local shop that has homemade take out containers of ice cream for purchase if you can or grab a good quality one at the store. This drink only has three elements and it’s for a special occasion, so spending an extra few bucks on quality ice cream is going to be worth it!

Once your ice cream is all secure in the glass, put as much or as little diced strawberry as you’d like and top it all off with your champagne. That’s it!

Can I make a strawberry champagne float without alcohol?

The short answer to this question is: of course! Topping strawberry champagne float off with your favorite non-alcoholic bubbly is just as delicious! Just make sure whatever flavor you choose doesn’t clash with strawberries and vanilla ice cream.

Can I substitute raspberries instead of strawberries?

If your store is out of strawberries, you’re looking for something different, or you just like raspberries better, they are a great substitute! The smaller ones work better, but in a pinch, any will do.

Can I make this strawberry champagne float dairy free too?

Yes! Dairy free vanilla ice cream can actually be amazingly creamy and would do perfectly well in this strawberry champagne float!
